Transfers!! :) Week of 04/18/07

Hi family!

I am sooooo happy right now! :) Why? Because I am sitting next to my new companion, Kim He Ran, who is soooo incredibly awesome. Seriously.

Today was transfers and I was transfered out of Seoul Lam Area and to Su Wann. (I really don't know how to spell it in English.) My companion came in one transfer after me so I am senior companion to her. I was really nervous about becoming senior so young, but since meeting her I am so relieved. She's awesome! And it was love at first sight. :)
She is Korean and is 26 years old. But her English is amazing. She is a convert of only 2 years. She studied abroad in Australia for 1 year and that's where she met the missionaries and joined the church. She shared her conversion story with me today over lunch and I was really touched. I really felt the spirit.
She's really beautiful inside and out and has the sweetest, easygoing personality ever. We're both really happy. :)
And we both don't know what we're really doing, but we've decided that we'll have fun figuring it out together.

Su Wann should be very different than my last area in that it's a little more country and it's smaller. I'm really happy about both of those things. My last area we had to cover 6 wards. Soooo hard! They just brought in 2 more sisters today for that area. It will be good.
This area is 4 wards and is a lot smaller than the part of seoul I was in. It feels more like San Diego to me. I like it.

This last weekend Sister Choi and I had 4 baptisms. It really was all a miracle how everything came together like it did. All 4 women were so happy and beaming and beautiful.
One of them, Kim Un Suk, particularly felt the spirit at her baptism. She was our investigator who didn't want to give up alcohol but decided that it was time to be baptized. She was soooo happy and kept saying, "I am a daughter of God. I am God's daughter." The spirit was really strong for her that day.

Other than that, saying goodbye to so many people I love was a very emotional experience for me. I cried so much last night and last sunday. Bommie and He Hyun showed up at English class last night to say goodbye and my heart felt like it was going to break. I love those girls so much.

I love the people of Korea. I truly do.

I love my God.
It never ceases to amaze me the depth and power of his love and mercy. I've seen so many miracles and I know there are many more to come if I but believe.
This transfer alone is a huge miracle to me. I was so nervous, but President Ringwood said to me, "Your companion is wonderful. I really think you'll do well together. And I'm excited for you to go senior. It'll be fun for you to be in charge, and I'm so excited for you to discover what wonderful things the Lord has in store for you in Su Wann."
He's amazing.
It really was inspired. My companion and I keep saying to each other, "I'm so happy." :) We both are.

I love you all.
God loves you.
Tyler congrats! I was touched. That all was such a gift. And Blake, let me know how everything turns out. Everyone thinks you're an amazing brother because you write me every week. I think so too. :) I love you and am praying for you.

Love always,
Tri
